In UAAP Season 88 women’s volleyball, the De La Salle University Lady Spikers extended their flawless start by beating the Ateneo Blue Eagles in four sets, 25‑14, 21‑25, 25‑17, 25‑17, on Sunday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. This win pushed La Salle’s record to 4‑0, continuing their strong run after dropping only one set for the first time this season.
La Salle also stretched its dominance over Ateneo with another victory, marking their long streak of wins against this rival in the league.
Top performers for La Salle included Angel Canino, who led the team in scoring, and key contributions from teammates like Lilay Del Castillo and Amie Provido.
For Ateneo, Ana Hermosura and JLo Delos Santos stood out offensively, but their efforts weren’t enough to secure a win as the Blue Eagles remained without a victory after four matches.
