Both teams finished the elimination round with identical 11–3 records, so they’ll play again on Wednesday to decide who gets the twice‑to‑beat advantage.
In the game, Ateneo led late but FEU‑D’s Marc Burgos hit a go‑ahead basket in the final seconds of regulation. Noah Banal then made a free throw to tie it and send the game to overtime. Early in OT, Ateneo pulled ahead with a key 6–0 run and held on for the win.
Top scorers included Jude Eriobu with 23 points and 15 rebounds for Ateneo, while Noah Banal added 17 and Jay M. Leal had 19. For FEU‑D, Cabonilas led with 22 points and Assan Gaye and Yosef Rañeses also contributed significantly.
