Former Department of Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla was formally sworn in today as the 7th Ombudsman of the Philippines.

The oath-taking ceremony was administered by Supreme Court Senior Associate Justice Marvic Leonen at the Supreme Court in Manila.

Remulla’s appointment came after President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. selected him from the shortlist submitted by the Judicial and Bar Council (JBC).
