Japan has issued a warning against the frequent flights of Chinese fighter jets in its Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) extending into the Pacific Ocean. In response, Japan has deployed military forces to its southwestern islands, including the deployment of long-range cruise missiles.

Last month, Japan also tested a short-range surface-to-ship missile.

Beijing has previously accused Japan of spying, claiming their regular military exercises, which Japan has been urged to halt. Japan has also criticized the increasing presence of Chinese warships in the Pacific, especially near Taiwan and Yonaguni Island, where their numbers have tripled.

Japan further stated that in recent months, two Chinese aircraft carriers have been operating together in the Pacific Ocean.

Aside from China, the report also highlighted the ongoing threats from North Korea, which is reportedly developing nuclear missiles and solid-fuel ICBMs capable of reaching Japan and mainland the U.S., based on a 534-page report. The report also mentioned the growing military ties between China and Russia and the escalating tensions over Taiwan.
