In NCAA Season 101 women’s volleyball, the De La Salle‑College of Saint Benilde Lady Blazers survived a close contest and earned a 25‑22, 23‑25, 23‑25, 25‑13, 15‑5 victory over the San Sebastian Lady Stags on Tuesday, securing the important twice‑to‑beat incentive for the quarterfinals.

Benilde improved to 8‑3 in Group A and now trails only the Perpetual Lady ALTAs, while San Sebastian dropped to 5‑7 but still has a chance to clinch a direct quarterfinal slot.

Zam Nolasco led the Lady Blazers with 28 points, including strong attacking, blocking, and serving, while Clyde Catarig contributed 20, Shekaina Lleses added 15, and Cam Bartolome finished with 13.

San Sebastian took a 2‑1 set advantage late after Juna May Gonzales and Kath Santos helped win a tight third set, but Benilde responded with aggressive play in the fourth set, jumping to an early lead and forcing a deciding fifth.

In the final set, Benilde pulled ahead early and maintained control behind a key scoring run, with Cristy Ondangan sealing the win with strong finishing plays. San Sebastian’s Gonzales still had a big night with 27 points, and Kath Santos and Tina Marasigan also scored in double figures.
