The Los Angeles Lakers secured a 110–97 victory over the New York Knicks on Sunday, holding a lead throughout much of the game despite some struggles late in the fourth quarter. Luka Dončić led the Lakers with 35 points, even as LeBron James was absent due to injury.
Dončić’s scoring helped Los Angeles build a comfortable advantage, and Austin Reaves also contributed significantly with 25 points. Rui Hachimura (13 points) and Luke Kennard (12 points) added key support as the Lakers shot 43.2% overall.
The Knicks were led by Karl‑Anthony Towns, who finished with 25 points and 16 rebounds, and Jalen Brunson, who added 24 points, six rebounds, and seven assists. However, New York struggled from the perimeter and committed multiple turnovers, which kept them from closing the gap.
LeBron James missed the game due to a bruised left elbow and foot issues, marking his second straight absence. Even so, the Lakers maintained control throughout and never relinquished the lead.
