DUMARAO, CAPIZ- A total of over P2 million worth of shabu was seized from four individuals during a drug buy-bust operation conducted by the police in Barangay Astorga, Dumarao, Capiz.
The arrested individuals were identified as alias ‘Owaw’, 44 years old, the subject person; alias ‘Noel’, 62 years old; alias ‘Cecil’, 45 years old, all residents of the aforementioned area; and alias ‘Chard’, 47 years old, a resident of Roxas City.
According to information gathered by Bombo Radyo from the Dumarao Municipal Police Station, the arrests were successfully made through a joint operation between the Dumarao Municipal Police Station and the Capiz Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU).
During the operation, over 300 grams of suspected shabu were recovered, with a street value of P2,040,000.
Authorities have classified the arrested individuals as High Value Individuals due to the substantial amount of shabu found in their possession.
They are facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.”
Currently, the individuals are in the custody of the Dumarao Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.
