The University of Perpetual Help System DALTA women’s volleyball team secured the top seed in Group A of the NCAA Season 101 after surviving a tough five‑set match against Mapua University at the San Andres Sports Complex in Manila.

Perpetual won with set scores of 25‑20, 21‑25, 25‑22, 20‑25, 15‑6, rebounding strongly after dropping the second and fourth sets. Key performances from Cy Almeniana and Jem Menor helped fuel a decisive run in the final frame, where the Lady Altas jumped ahead early and never looked back.

Almeniana finished with 28 points, including five in the fifth set, while Menor and Camille Bustamante added 14 and 13 points, respectively. Despite Mapua’s efforts—led by Alexander Leabres and Raissa Ricablanca with 18 points each and Freighanne Garcia with 14—the Lady Cardinals fell to a 5‑7 record.

With the win, Perpetual locked in the Group A’s top place, setting themselves up for a favorable path in the upcoming playoff rounds.
