ROXAS CITY, CAPIZ – A teacher from Roxas City, Michelle Ong, recently had the rare opportunity to personally meet and talk with renowned psychologist Dr. Howard Gardner, the mind behind the groundbreaking Theory of Multiple Intelligences.

The special encounter was shared in a Facebook post by “Galawang Francisco,” highlighting Ong’s visit to the Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE), where she participated in several activities and programs.

Dr. Gardner is a prominent figure in the field of education, best known for his Multiple Intelligences Theory — a concept that explores the diverse ways people express and develop intelligence. His framework includes various types of intelligences such as musical, linguistic, logical-mathematical, spatial, bodily-kinesthetic, interpersonal, intrapersonal, and naturalistic.

According to the post, meeting Dr. Gardner inspired Ong even more to enhance the learning experience at CHILDS Academy, the institution she is part of. Her goal is to improve the education system in ways that are more human-centered and meaningful for every learner.

She also emphasized that Gardner’s theory has been a core foundation of their school’s approach — promoting equal recognition and support for each child, no matter what kind of intelligence they naturally possess.
