PANAY, CAPIZ- A seaman who was arrested for pushing illegal drugs in Panay has been charged under Republic Act 9165, or the “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.”
The arrested individual, identified as alias “Budot,” 41 years old and a resident of the area, was caught in a drug buy-bust operation conducted by the police in Barangay Cabugao Este, Panay, Capiz.
In an interview with Bombo Radyo, Police Captain Ronald Ton-ogan, Chief of the Panay Municipal Police Station, stated that they had been monitoring the subject person for some time and managed to apprehend him through an undercover officer posing as a buyer.
Authorities recovered over four (4) grams of suspected shabu, valued at P27,200, from the suspect’s possession.
At present, the suspect remains in the custody of the Panay Municipal Police Station for further legal proceedings.
