Aklanon sharpshooter Frederick Ian Malaga has brought immense pride to the Philippines after emerging as the country’s top-ranked competitor and placing 7th in the world at the 2025 IPSC Action Air World Shoot II held in Iloilo City from July 26 to August 3, 2025.
Representing the Kalibo Gun Club Inc., Malaga showcased world-class marksmanship by outperforming more than 400 elite shooters from over 20 countries. He conquered all 30 stages of the prestigious competition with remarkable skill and composure, earning the No. 1 spot nationally and a Top 10 finish globally.
Born and raised in Kalibo, Aklan, Malaga’s success is the result of years of disciplined training and passion for the sport of action air shooting. His achievement not only highlights Aklanon excellence on the world stage but also cements his place among the best action air shooters in Philippine history.
