Attorney Levi Baligod has admitted that it was a mistake to include Leila de Lima in a list of lawmakers who allegedly received large sums of money.
In an interview, Baligod acknowledged that listing the Mamamayang Liberal Party-list representative among those purportedly involved was an “error” on his part.
The veteran lawyer explained that retired military officers had previously mentioned De Lima’s name during discussions related to the International Criminal Court (ICC). According to Baligod, this may have led him to assume her inclusion in meetings connected to the matter, prompting him to add her name to the list of members of Congress who allegedly received funds.
Baligod conceded that his action could be considered a mistake and took responsibility for the error.
The clarification comes amid ongoing public attention surrounding alleged cash distributions and meetings tied to ICC-related discussions.
