ROXAS CITY – Bombo Radyo Philippines–Roxas City has been honored by the Philippine Red Cross–Capiz Chapter for being one of the Top 15 Performing Non-Local Government Units (Non-LGUs) in the province for its efforts in promoting voluntary blood donation.
In an interview with Bombo Radyo Roxas, Mr. Raymundo Martinez, Administrator of the Philippine Red Cross–Capiz Chapter, said the station was awarded the Sandugo Outstanding Non-LGU Award of Excellence in recognition of its tireless dedication and commitment to advancing voluntary blood donation.
“Bombo Radyo Roxas has played a significant role in raising public awareness about the importance of blood donation, helping save countless lives and providing aid to those in need,” Martinez said.

The award was presented during the 14th Annual Provincial Sandugo Awards held at Nesta’s Hilltop Hotel in Roxas City, with the theme, “14 Years of Excellence: Saving Lives, Forging Partnerships, and Pioneering a Future-Ready Blood Program.”
The recognition was signed by Raymundo P. Martinez, RMT, Administrator of PRC Capiz Chapter; Dr. Charmet Robles, Chairperson of the Board of Directors; and Capiz Governor Fredenil H. Castro.
The award was personally received by Bombo Chris Jan Hechanova Lozada, representing Bombo Radyo Roxas.
The Philippine Red Cross, in partnership with Bombo Radyo Philippines Foundation, Incorporated, organizes the annual Dugong Bombo: A Little Pain, A Life to Gain, an advocacy campaign emphasizing that even a small act of donating blood can save lives.
