The Cleveland Cavaliers extended their best winning streak of the season to seven games with a 118–113 road victory over the Charlotte Hornets.
Donovan Mitchell led the Cavaliers with 32 points, while Jarrett Allen contributed 26 points and 14 rebounds. James Harden added 18 points and 8 assists, and Sam Merrill scored 10 points. Cleveland’s free-throw efficiency (making 26 of 28 attempts) helped them secure the win and marked their 12th victory in 13 games.
For the Hornets, Kon Knueppel was impressive with 33 points and seven 3-pointers. LaMelo Ball and Brandon Miller both scored 18 points, Ryan Kalkbrenner had 12 points and 13 rebounds, and Josh Green contributed 11 points. Charlotte suffered their third loss in four games after previously winning nine straight before the All-Star break.
Charlotte battled back from an early deficit and briefly led in the third quarter, but Cleveland regained control to hold off the comeback attempt.
