Cleveland Cavaliers guard James Harden has fractured his right thumb and is listed as questionable for the team’s upcoming game. Harden suffered the injury during Cleveland’s recent win over the New York Knicks, and X-rays confirmed it’s a non-displaced fracture of the bone at the tip of his thumb.

The Cavaliers, who play the Milwaukee Bucks next, said Harden will receive treatment and further evaluation before a final decision on his availability is made.

Harden, 36, was acquired by Cleveland in early February in a trade with the Los Angeles Clippers. With the Cavaliers, he’s been a key contributor, averaging about 18.9 points, 4.6 rebounds, and eight assists per game, and the team has won six of the seven games since he joined.

If he doesn’t play, Cleveland could be without one of its top backcourt players.
