Senator Risa Hontiveros stood firm that the West Philippine Sea belongs to the Philippines during her visit on Saturday, February 21, to Pag-asa Island, part of the Kalayaan Island Group (KIG).
The trip, held ahead of her 60th birthday on February 24, included the delivery of essential goods and medical services to Filipino residents and frontliners stationed on the island.
In a statement, Sen. Hontiveros said her visit was to show support and solidarity with Filipinos living in Kalayaan.
