Senator Imee Marcos formally challenged the executive branch over alleged collusion with the International Criminal Court (ICC) regarding the arrest of former President Rodrigo Duterte.
Through Senate Resolution No. 340 filed Tuesday, Marcos urged the government to publicly disclose all communications and agreements with the ICC, coinciding with the first anniversary of Duterte’s arrest on March 11.
Marcos criticized the government’s conflicting stance, particularly Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla’s reported engagement with the foreign tribunal. She called for accountability for officials who allegedly violated the Constitution and demanded Duterte’s immediate return to the Philippines.
