PAGASA says a shear line over the eastern part of the Visayas, combined with the prevailing northeast monsoon or amihan, will continue to influence weather across parts of the Philippines in the next day. The shear line will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and isolated thunderstorms to areas in Eastern and Central Visayas as well as parts of northern Mindanao, including Misamis Oriental, Camiguin, Surigao del Norte, and Dinagat Islands. These conditions could lead to moderate to heavy rains, which may trigger localized flash floods or landslides in some areas.
Meanwhile, the amihan will affect much of Luzon and the remainder of the Visayas with partly cloudy to cloudy skies and light rains. The rest of Mindanao will also see partly cloudy to cloudy weather with isolated showers or thunderstorms due to local wind patterns. PAGASA noted there are no significant weather disturbances like tropical cyclones currently being monitored.
