Team Liquid Philippines has made significant roster changes ahead of MPL Philippines Season 17, bringing in Indonesian gold laner Sultan “Aeronnshikii” Muhammad as an import player to bolster its lineup as it defends its championship titles. Aeronnshikii becomes only the second foreign player in league history after Clayton “Savero” Kuswanto’s recent signing with ONIC PH.
The club also announced a coaching switch, naming Singaporean coach Ong Wei “Aeon” Sheng as head coach following the departure of Rodel “Ar Sy” Cruz. Aeronnshikii expressed confidence in his new squad and hopes for success, while Coach Aeon emphasized mutual respect and ambitious goals, including completing the team’s pursuit of the coveted “golden road.”
The new additions are part of Team Liquid’s adjustments after an earlier than expected exit at the M7 World Championship, and the team aims to reassert its dominance this upcoming season
