ROXAS CITY – Students and faculty members of Capiz State University-Main Campus along Fuentes Drive were alarmed after a bomb threat was received by one of the university’s employees.

In an interview with Bombo Radyo, Atty. Toche Vic Doce, the university’s Chief Admin Officer of Finace, confirmed that a faculty member received a message via Messenger claiming that an explosive device had been planted inside the campus.

According to Atty. Doce, the security personnel and local police were immediately alerted, and the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team arrived shortly after to inspect the area.

He added that a swift evacuation of all individuals inside the campus was carried out as a precautionary measure.

Fortunately, there were no regular classes at the time, which meant fewer students were on campus, though the enrollment period was ongoing when the threat was received.
