Oklahoma City’s star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander sank two late 3‑pointers to lift the Oklahoma City Thunder past the Denver Nuggets 129–126 on Monday night in their NBA game.
Gilgeous‑Alexander finished with 35 points, and one of his clutch shots came with just a few seconds left, breaking a tie and sealing the victory for Oklahoma City. Earlier in the night, it appeared he had won it with another deep 3, but a four‑point play by the Nuggets forced the game into a dramatic finish.
The standout guard also tied an NBA record with his 126th straight game scoring at least 20 points, matching a long‑standing mark set by Wilt Chamberlain, while adding 15 assists and nine rebounds.
Key contributions came from Jaylin Williams, who scored 29 points and hit seven 3‑pointers, and Ajay Mitchell, who added 24 points in his return after injury. Meanwhile, the Nuggets got big numbers from Nikola Jokić with a triple‑double (32 points, 14 rebounds, 13 assists) and notable scoring from Tim Hardaway Jr. and Aaron Gordon, but it wasn’t enough to hold off the Thunder.
