ROXAS CITY — A shooting incident that occurred early this morning, May 24, in Sitio Cassandra, Barangay Punta Tabuc, Roxas City, was caught on Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) footage, according to initial reports received by Bombo Radyo.
Residents of the area reportedly heard consecutive gunshots shortly after 9 a.m.
The incident has since prompted an immediate response from authorities.
Police investigators recovered four fired bullets, one misfired round, and a slug of an unidentified caliber at the scene.
According to eyewitnesses, the intended victim was not hit by the gunfire.
As of this writing, the Roxas City Police continue their investigation to determine the motive, the identity of the suspect, and the type of firearm used in the incident.
Authorities are also reviewing the CCTV footage for leads that could assist in identifying and apprehending those involved.
