IVISAN, CAPIZ – The Chief of the Ivisan Municipal Police Station presented the accomplishments of their office in the town of Ivisan, Capiz for the year 2024, from January to December.
In an interview with Bombo Radyo, Police Major Ruby Magallanes, Chief of Ivisan Municipal Police Station, revealed that it had been a year of dedicated service to the community, with the Ivisan Municipal Police Station (MPS) achieving success in conducting operations against illegal activities throughout the town.
She further mentioned that within the year 2024, their office recorded nine (9) operations against illegal drugs and ten (10) operations against loose firearms, resulting in arrests and the confiscation of illegal items.
Additionally, they successfully apprehended twelve (12) wanted persons, including the top 1 most wanted person in the municipality, who had cases of rape and carnapping. Through meticulous operations, the law was enforced, and security in the entire town was maintained.
The Ivisan PNP also continues to address the issue of illegal fishing. In thirty-one (31) operations, numerous fishermen were arrested, and their fishing boats and equipment were confiscated. This was part of their efforts to protect marine resources and ensure peace along the coastline.
Moreover, the Ivisan Municipal Police Station continues to strengthen the enforcement of municipal ordinances, particularly traffic regulations. Their operations have helped ensure that residents follow local government rules, contributing to better order in the town.
Finally, Magallanes emphasized the cooperation between the police and the community to keep Ivisan drug-free. Their barangay visitation programs, and regular Barangay Assemblies allow direct communication of community concerns. She also ensured that their office remains open 24 hours for public service.
