Binaba ng Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) ang alert status ng Bulusan Volcano mula Level 1 (Low-Level of Unrest) patungong Level 0 (Normal).
Ayon sa ahensya, “Bulusan Volcano has returned to relative quiescence following a general decline in monitoring parameters.”
Napag-alaman ng PHIVOLCS na bumaba na sa baseline levels na zero hanggang lima kada araw ang bilang ng volcanic earthquakes simula noong unang linggo ng Disyembre 2025, batay sa pagmamanman ng Bulusan Volcano Network.
“This decline indicates that rock-fracturing processes within the volcano associated with shallow hydrothermal activity has diminished,” dagdag pa ng PHIVOLCS.
Ayon sa ahensya, nag-deflate ang pangkalahatang southern at eastern sectors ng bulkan mula Nobyembre at Oktubre 2025, ayon sa tuloy-tuloy na GPS at electronic tilt measurements, na nagpapahiwatig ng “depressurization of the volcanic system.”
Bumaba rin ang sulfur dioxide emissions ng bulkan, mula sa average na 122 tonnes kada araw simula Hunyo 2025, at bumalik na sa normal na antas.
