ROXAS CITY – In recognition of its steadfast commitment to public health, Bombo Radyo Roxas was honored with the 2024 Provincial Strategic Partnership Award for its support of the Capiz Province-Wide Health System. The award celebrates the station’s vital role in advancing the Universal Health Care program throughout the province.

In an interview with Bombo Radyo, Provincial Health Officer II, Dr. Ramon Alex T. Nolasco, highlighted the station’s significant contribution in disseminating crucial health information and raising awareness on public health programs.

The accolade was presented during the “6th Pasidungog sa Ikaayong-Lawas” on December 5, 2025, at Roxas City. Dr. Nolasco and Governor Fredenil H. Castro formally conferred the award, citing the station’s “unwavering commitment and support to the Province-Wide Health System in furtherance of the Universal Health Care Implementation and Realization in Capiz.”

Bombo Chris Jan Hechanova Lozada expressed gratitude on behalf of the station, saying, “This recognition inspires us to continue serving the people of Capiz with timely, accurate, and helpful information that promotes the health and welfare of our community.”

Bombo Radyo Roxas has long been a trusted voice in the province, not only delivering news and public service programs but also actively supporting initiatives that improve the lives of Capizeños.

Every Sunday, the station hosts “Dr. Bombo,” a segment featuring representatives from the Provincial Health Office who provide updates, advice, and guestings to inform the public on health matters. This latest honor further cements the station’s role as a key partner in community development and public health advocacy.
