PANGASINAN – A 19-year-old woman is recovering in the hospital after being stabbed four times by her 20-year-old ex-boyfriend in San Carlos City, Pangasinan.
According to information obtained by Bombo Radyo, the crime happened at the victim’s home in Barangay Isla on Wednesday.
Police said the suspect hid behind a tree near the victim’s house and waited for her to come out.
When the victim stepped outside to tend to her goats, the suspect allegedly launched the attack.
The woman sustained three stab wounds to her back and one to her side.
Police said the victim’s family revealed that the suspect had earlier sent threatening text messages to the victim.
Authorities have not yet determined the motive behind the suspect’s alleged attempt to kill his former partner.
The suspect was arrested shortly after the incident, and the kitchen knife used in the stabbing was recovered.
He is facing charges of frustrated murder and has yet to issue any statement.
