MAMBUSAO, CAPIZ – Two men were apprehended and are currently detained at the Mambusao Municipal Police Station after being caught taking photos of their ballots while voting at Sinondojan Elementary School.
The suspects, identified only by their aliases Hernanie, a 57-year-old security guard, and Rafael, a barangay watchman, are both residents of the area.
According to Barangay Councilor Efren Lauron in an interview with Bombo Radyo, the two men were in the process of casting their votes when they pulled out their mobile phones and took pictures of their completed ballots. A vigilant poll watcher noticed the violation and reported them to the Commission on Elections (COMELEC), leading to their arrest.
The Mambusao Police are continuing their investigation into the incident.
