MANILA, Philippines – Vice President Sara Duterte once again criticized the Marcos administration, claiming it is behind political attacks against her and her family. She firmly stated that neither she nor her family is the problem in the Philippines.

In a recent statement, Duterte alleged that a “systematic demolition job” is being carried out against those considered political opponents of the administration.

“In the past months, my name and my family’s name have been dragged through the mud. I have repeatedly said this before, and I will say it again now—I am not the problem of this country. Hindi ako ang problema ng Pilipinas. Hindi Duterte ang problema ng Pilipinas,” the Vice President said.

She questioned who would truly benefit if the Duterte family were no longer in power, stressing that it would not be the Filipino people. According to her, the current leadership lacks the ability to understand the will of the people and the capacity to make decisions for the public good.

Duterte also took aim at what she described as questionable leadership, pointing out that the country is currently being managed by a leader who allegedly refuses to undergo a public hair follicle drug test and who, she claimed, lied about the promise of reducing rice prices to ₱20 per kilo.

The Vice President concluded by saying that Filipinos deserve a better leader—one who is competent and genuinely committed to the welfare of the nation.
