Four people were killed and ten others injured when an Israeli airstrike hit a hotel in Beirut, the Lebanese Health Ministry reported. The targeted hotel was reportedly sheltering civilians displaced by the conflict from southern Lebanon and parts of central Beirut.
The strike comes after Iran-backed militant group Hezbollah launched rockets and drones into Israel on Monday, prompting Israel to respond with airstrikes across Lebanon, including Beirut.
