The Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC) has stepped up its campaign against unregistered lending platforms following a surge in Filipino victims.
CICC Executive Director Renato “Aboy” Paraiso reported that nearly 600 complaints were received in just January and February, a significant increase compared to the same period in 2025.
Authorities continue to warn the public to verify lending apps before use to avoid fraud.
