ROXAS CITY, CAPIZ- Programs and initiatives continue to be implemented to maintain welfare and peace at the BJMP Male Dormitory in Barangay San Jose, Roxas City, Capiz.
In an interview with Bombo Radyo, Jail Superintendent Julius Caesar Chavez, Jail Warden of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology Male Dormitory, expressed that these initiatives are not only aimed at maintaining order but also at preparing the inmates for their reintegration into society.
Included in the programs are vocational training, spiritual activities, and sports programs that provide opportunities for inmates to learn new skills and use positive outlets in their lives.
Chavez also highlighted the training in carpentry, welding, and computer literacy, which inmates can utilize to start a new life after their time at BJMP.
As part of their goal to maintain peace and order, BJMP continues to enforce strict security measures. Regular inspections and training for jail officers ensure effective management and prevent any incidents of violence inside.
Apart from the measures within the prison, BJMP also cooperates with the local government and non-government organizations (NGOs) to increase opportunities for the inmates. These partnerships ensure support and guidance for the reintegration of those incarcerated back into the community.
Once again, Jail Warden Chavez called on the people of Roxas City to continue supporting the BJMP’s programs.
