Bombo Radyo Roxas extends its appreciation to the gasoline stations in Roxas City that complied with the reminder of the Roxas Component City Police Station regarding the proper implementation of fuel prices.
The acknowledgment comes after the police conducted monitoring visits to several gasoline stations in the city to ensure that no premature increase in the prices of petroleum products would take place.
Earlier reports indicated that some gasoline stations had allegedly raised their prices.
However, according to Department of Energy Secretary Sharon Garin, there is currently no official oil price increase being implemented.
She clarified that any fuel price adjustment is expected to take effect next week, on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. also reminded businesses to avoid profiteering and hoarding, especially during periods of possible fuel price movements.
Bombo Radyo Roxas also thanked the Roxas Component City Police Station for its proactive monitoring efforts to protect consumers and ensure that fuel retailers follow proper pricing guidelines.
The station likewise assures the public that it will continue to keep watch and encourage the community to remain vigilant when it comes to fuel prices, and to report any irregularities to the proper authorities.
This collective effort aims to safeguard the welfare of the public and promote fair business practices in the city.
